Juice Machine

"I knew these live tracks were out there, but I was reminded of them when Austin Rich played a couple on his tribute show to Heather and JUICE MACHINE back in March of this year on his Mid-Valley Mutations radio show. Heather passed away in February of this year ending an 11 year journey together through art and sound. Austin put together a great tribute show and the live tracks were not so good quality open air recordings he made at some of these gigs. I was really taken aback at how powerful and important these live sets were. It was a time in JUICE MACHINE when we were using a battery powered only setup. We each had 4 devices running into an 8 channel passive mixer. The sound was raw and immediate."

"I knew I had these 3 shows in a way better sound quality somewhere and found them. All of them in a nice line in recording quality. We gigged around with this minimal setup for some time and got some interesting results. All born from a snow storm in Eugene back in January of 2019 that knocked out out power so I decided we should do some recording using only battery powered gear and my passive mixer. We really loved the results. Funny to think that back in the pre-Covid days we were playing so many shows. I hope you enjoy this look back at a very fruitful time for us. Thanks to Arvo for putting this out."
